There are various methods available to fix this error. You can opt for any of them and they are capable enough to resolve this issue. It doesn’t need any technical expertise and you can easily perform these methods.

Method 1. Turn off the Controlled Folder Access:

1. Select Start  > Settings .

2. Choose Update & security  > Windows Defender.

3. Select Open Windows Defender Security Center.

4. Select Virus & threat protection, and then choose Virus & threat protection settings.

5. Under Controlled folder access, turn it on or off.

Method 2. Reboot the system to safe mode and run SFC Scan:

1. Hit the power button and turn on the system.

2. Frequently press Shift+F8 until the system get to Advanced Boot option.

3. Now, navigate to Enable Safe Mode and hit Enter.

4. Press the Window key and type cmd.

5. Right-click on command prompt and select Run as Administrator.

6. Type sfc/scannow command and press Enter.

Wait for the 100% completion of verification for the system scan. The sfc command over here will scan all the files of the system and use the cached copy of the corrupt file for replacing them. The cached copy of the corrupt file is located at %WINDir%\System32\dllcache.

Method 3. Utilize the Hard Drive Recovery Tool:

1. Download the free Hard Drive recovery tool and install it on your system.

2. Launch the tool and select the drive that is carrying your affected file.

3. Click on the Next button.

4. Now, select the recovery mode as per the level of the corruption to fix File Not Found Error.
